Actor Gaurav Gera has surprised viewers with his dramatic transformation into Mohammad Aalam, a middle-aged juice seller, in Aditya Dhar's blockbuster "Dhurandhar." His unrecognizable appearance has become a major talking point, with stills from the film quickly going viral following its release.
Gera shared his emotional reaction to the audience's overwhelming love, stating that the praise brought him to tears. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to move beyond his established comedic roles, particularly "Chutki," and showcase a different facet of his acting abilities in "Dhurandhar." He revealed that the role involved a significantly older look, a white beard, and a haircut shorter than usual.
The film, which stars R. Madhavan as an Intelligence Bureau Chief on a mission in Pakistan and Ranveer Singh as a youth infiltrating Karachi's underworld, has achieved significant box office success, surpassing Rs 150 crore within its first five days. Following this triumph, the makers have announced that "Dhurandhar 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.
