Actor Avoids Spotlight Despite Film Success

Actor Gaurav Gera stated that the success of 'Dhurandhar' has not altered his career approach or view on fame.

Gera intentionally reduced his social media presence before the film's release. He was concerned that his well-known comic characters, like Chutki and Billi Maasi, might lead audiences to take his serious role in 'Dhurandhar' lightly.

He explained that director Aditya Dhar had requested him to maintain the character's look, leading Gera to limit public appearances. This strategy aimed to ensure his performance was judged on its own merit, separate from his established comedic image.

Despite receiving more offers, Gera continues to be selective, only accepting roles he feels are a genuine fit. He acknowledged that his past experience of chasing visibility 15-20 years ago has shaped his current, more grounded perspective on ambition and career choices.
