Production for Season 2 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, has officially wrapped, concluding a tumultuous filming period. The cast and crew encountered significant disruptions, notably a halt in April due to torrential rainfall in Spain, which paradoxically occurred while filming a story set during a severe drought in the Reach.

Despite these weather-related challenges and a move from Belfast to Spain for more suitable filming conditions, the production persevered. Recent reports indicate that filming has concluded, with star Peter Claffey reportedly receiving a wrap gift, signaling the end of principal photography. The upcoming season, expected in 2027, will adapt George R.R. Martin's novella 'The Sworn Sword'.

This season will continue to follow the adventures of Ser Duncan "Dunk" the Tall, portrayed by Peter Claffey, and his squire, Prince Aegon "Egg" Targaryen, played by Dexter Sol Ansell. They are set to serve an impoverished hedge knight in the Reach region. Co-creator Ira Parker has expressed openness to extending the series beyond the existing novellas, similar to the original Game of Thrones.
