The series is set approximately 90 years prior to the original Game of Thrones narrative, delving into the beloved "Tales of Dunk and Egg" novellas.
Actors Claffey and Ansell shared insights into their characters' dynamic, describing Dunk as a lovable but anxious knight striving to do right in Westeros. They highlighted the "symbiotic relationship" with Egg, whose intelligence aids Dunk in navigating complex situations.
