Summary
- Game Show Network partners with B17 Entertainment to create U.S. version of Japanese comedy format
- Contestants face one nearly impossible question but can eliminate choices through physical challenges
- Deal is a "family affair" as Game Show Network and Sony Pictures TV are both Sony-owned businesses

In a move to bring unique international content to American audiences, Game Show Network is partnering with production company B17 Entertainment to create a U.S. version of the quirky Japanese comedy format "100 Choices." The show, which was developed by Tokyo-based FANY Studios, sees contestants faced with one seemingly impossible trivia question, but they can eliminate some of the 100 possible answers by completing a series of physical challenges.
The deal is something of a "family affair" as Game Show Network is also a Sony-owned business, and Sony Pictures Television International Formats holds the global distribution rights to the format. The U.S. studio first unveiled the show at the London TV Screenings earlier this year after acquiring the rights at the Asia TV Forum.
"We have enjoyed a tremendous buzz around 100 Choices ever since we unveiled the series at London Screenings and we have had an amazing response from clients at MIPCOM," said Laura St Clair, SVP of International Formats at Sony Pictures Television. "FANY Studios has created a format with a universality that can be enjoyed by family audiences the world over, and it is fantastic that the brilliant team at B17 Entertainment are developing this for Game Show Network."
