The case's origins trace back to August 2015, when Rainey filed a sexual battery lawsuit against The Game. The suit alleged an incident occurred in May of that year during the production of his VH1 reality series, "She's Got Game." Rainey accused the rapper of sexual assault during an off-camera event near Chicago. A jury ultimately found him liable for the incident.
