Gal Gadot has confirmed that her time playing Wonder Woman has officially ended. The actress stated she has not had any recent conversations with DC Studios about reprising the role or taking on new characters within the universe.
A new "Wonder Woman" film is currently in development, with Ana Nogueira penning the script. It is confirmed that a different actress will be cast as Diana Prince. Gadot, who first appeared as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in 2016, wished the future portrayal well.
Her appearances as Wonder Woman also included the 2017 solo film and "Justice League." The DC Extended Universe, also known as the DCEU, officially concluded with the release of "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" in 2023.
