Gal Gadot Almost Played Barbie: The Role That Wasn't

Margot Robbie was instrumental in bringing Greta Gerwig aboard to write and direct the eventual blockbuster film, Barbie. Early in the film's development, Gal Gadot was considered for the titular role, though a formal offer was never extended. Robbie herself was reportedly convinced by Gerwig to take on the part.

During a recent podcast appearance, Gadot shared her perspective on not being cast as Barbie. She expressed that there were no hard feelings about the situation. Gadot's candid remarks suggest a positive and respectful relationship with the project and Robbie's involvement.

While Gadot did not portray the main Barbie, numerous other actresses, including Issa Rae and Dua Lipa, played supporting Barbie characters. Gadot is perhaps best known for her role as Wonder Woman.
