Gadsden's Violin Prodigy Takes Center Stage

Phillip Rumlin-Bond, a gifted violinist from Gadsden County, Florida, is making remarkable strides in the classical music world. After attending the Javacya Arts Conservatory, he received a scholarship to The Hartt School, one of the nation's most respected conservatories.
During his tenure at The Hartt School, Rumlin-Bond has consistently achieved academic excellence, making the Dean's List with a 4.0 GPA in his second semester. He has also been recognized with membership in the Van Boren Artist Society and will be inducted into the music honor society. Notably, he is the only undergraduate admitted to the graduate studio of renowned violinist Katie Lansdale, pursuing a five-year track for a Master's degree in Violin Performance and Education.
Rumlin-Bond's success is a reflection of the unwavering support from his community. From his family purchasing his first violin to the collective encouragement of local organizations and the Javacya Arts Conservatory, Gretna and Quincy have rallied behind him. He will return to his home region to headline the Javacya Elite Chamber Orchestra's Season Finale on August 13 at St. Peter's Anglican Cathedral in Tallahassee. The concert will feature Haydn's Violin Concerto in A Major and works by Florence Beatrice Price.
