In November 2025, Gabriel Basso, the star of Netflix's global hit series 'The Night Agent', is making his directorial debut with the psychological thriller 'Iconoclast'. Basso not only directs the film but also stars alongside a talented cast that includes Courtney Eaton, Noah Centineo, Rain Spencer, and Dasha Nekrasova.
Described as a 'Taxi Driver for the internet age', 'Iconoclast' follows the story of a reclusive young man whose dangerous obsession with a live-streaming influencer increasingly erodes his grip on reality. The film is currently in production, with Alex Lebovici producing and financing through his Hammerstone Studios banner.
Basso, who is best known for his role as FBI Agent Peter Sutherland in 'The Night Agent', has also been seen in recent projects like Kathryn Bigelow's political thriller 'A House of Dynamite' and the romantic drama 'Love of Your Life'.
