Funk Flex Claps Back at Critic: 'I Ruin Y'all Vibe?'

1 Nov

Summary

Funk Flex humorously responded to a listener's complaint about his talking on air.
The DJ posted a DM questioning if he should be quieter on his show.
This follows past criticisms and a feud with rapper Conway the Machine.

Funk Flex recently engaged with online criticism regarding his on-air presence. He shared a direct message from a listener on Instagram that stated, "When you DJ on the radio, can you please not talk so much? You ruining the vibes lowkey." Flex responded in the caption with a series of rhetorical questions, including, "I TALK TOO MUCH? YOU HATE ME IN THE CAR? I RUIN YALL VIBE? SHOULD I SHUT UP?"

This incident is not Flex's first public interaction regarding his broadcasting style. Earlier in 2022, he was criticized by rapper Conway the Machine, whom Flex jokingly referred to as "grandpa" in response. Additionally, Flex's signature "bomb drop" sound effect and his record of replaying songs multiple times have been notable aspects of his radio career. He also previously announced unreleased tracks by Drake and Kanye West on Instagram Stories but did not play them.
