Chicago-based band Friko is releasing their second full-length album, titled "Something Worth Waiting For," on April 24 via ATO Records. This new record signifies a milestone for the band, as it is their first LP recorded as a quartet, with guitarist Korgan Robb and bassist David Fuller joining original members Niko Kapetan and Bailey Minzenberger.
"Something Worth Waiting For" was produced by John Congleton, known for his work with artists like Angel Olsen and Mannequin Pussy, and was recorded at his studio in Los Angeles. The title track and lead single, "Seven Degrees," has an accompanying video featuring the band performing on a dirt track, surrounded by RC car races. Kapetan describes the album's theme as "transit," reflecting a continuous movement towards an unreachable destination.
