French Cinema Lights Up New York

The 31st Rendez-Vous with French Cinema festival is set to illuminate New York City from March 5 to March 15. This prestigious event, co-organized by Unifrance and Film at Lincoln Center, will present a diverse lineup of 22 films representing the breadth of contemporary French cinema. The festival will commence with the anticipated New York premiere of François Ozon's 'The Stranger,' an adaptation of Albert Camus's classic novel.

The festival's carefully curated selection features works from both established auteurs and promising new voices in French filmmaking. Many of these films have previously garnered acclaim at major international festivals such as Cannes, Venice, and Locarno. Attendees can look forward to engaging with filmmakers and talent, as over 20 directors and actors are scheduled to participate in post-screening discussions, offering insights into their cinematic creations.
