OuiDo! Productions, renowned for family-friendly animated content, is venturing into the adult animation sector through a new joint venture named Everybody on Board. This initiative, established with animation producers Didier Creste and Joé Baudot, aims to develop and produce animated films and series for adult audiences, a market with significant untapped potential in France.
Everybody on Board made its official debut at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The venture unveiled its first project, 'Prudence,' which is billed as the first fully French-produced animated horror feature film. Directed by Jérémie Hoarau, the story is set in the near future and follows commercial divers on an isolated underwater station tasked with containing a catastrophic oil spill.
The crew's isolation intensifies when a parasitic worm infects the station's doctor, unleashing extreme impulses in its hosts. Sandrine Nguyen, CEO of OuiDo! Productions, expressed enthusiasm for this expansion, noting that animation has no age limit and horror is a successful global genre. Creste added that the partnership provides a strong production infrastructure and international expertise.
'Prudence' is an 80-minute film written by Hoarau and Laurent Sarfati. JeSuisBienContent is handling executive production, with Tandem Films set to distribute the film in France. Additional projects from Everybody On Board are currently under development and will be announced soon.
