Illinois Residents: Dive into Shedd Aquarium for Free!

The Shedd Aquarium is extending a special invitation to Illinois residents, offering free admission on numerous dates throughout January and February. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for locals to discover the aquarium's vast collection, which includes breathtaking coral reefs, charismatic penguins, and impressive sharks.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to make reservations in advance to secure their spot, especially during these popular free admission periods. The aquarium aims to make its educational and engaging exhibits accessible to as many people within the state as possible. Additionally, a unique Valentine's Day event, the Heartbeat House Party, is planned for adults.

The free days are scheduled across multiple weekends and weekdays. For January, these include the 6th-8th, 13th-20th, and 27th-29th. February offers further opportunities with dates from the 3rd-5th, 10th-12th, 17th-19th, and 24th-26th.
