On November 12, 2025, Disney+ subscribers will be able to enjoy the highly anticipated sequel to the 2003 film "Freakier Friday." The new movie, which reunites original stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, introduces a "multigenerational twist" to the classic body-swapping story.
In the sequel, Lohan portrays Anna, a mom who finds herself switching bodies with her daughter. The original film followed the mother-daughter duo of Tess (Curtis) and Anna as they experienced the same phenomenon. Newcomers to the franchise include "The Acolyte" star Manny Jacinto, "Never Have I Ever" breakout Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and actresses Sophia Hammons and Julia Butters. The script for "Freakier Friday" was co-written by "Dollface" creator Jordan Weiss, and the film was directed by Nisha Ganatra.
