Fortnite Meets Millennium Falcon: In-Game Loot Awaits!

Starting Sunday, August 16, 2026, riders of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction at Disneyland and Disney World can earn exclusive in-game items for Fortnite. Disney and Epic Games announced this collaboration at the D23 convention, allowing park-goers to collect crates via a special mission on the ride. These collected crates can be used to unlock rewards on a new custom Star Wars island in Fortnite named Smugglers Gambit. This new island, developed by Disney Imagineering, expands the narrative of the pirate Hondo Ohnaka and offers players immersive gameplay.

Smugglers Gambit features co-op missions, quests, class choices, and new gear to unlock, set in Star Wars locations like Ord Ryla and Mersa Veta Station. Players will engage in battles against pirates, Imperial remnants, and wildlife. This initiative marks a significant step in integrating real-world theme park experiences with digital gaming, allowing players to bring their Fortnite rewards home based on their performance in the park game. The connection between the physical ride and the digital game is hailed as a groundbreaking example of cross-format storytelling.
