A24 Taps Will Forte for Outrageous Goblin Flick

A24 is in discussions with Will Forte for a starring role in David Mikalson's upcoming comedy, 'Goblin'. Forte is reportedly set to play dual characters in the film, which will feature Kenneth Branagh providing the voice for the goblin. This project represents a significant opportunity for first-time feature director Mikalson, who independently developed the concept for the outrageous buddy comedy.

Mikalson's vision for 'Goblin' involves a practical puppet for the title character and an approach outside the traditional Hollywood system. A24 stepped in to finance the project, recognizing Mikalson's talent and unique approach. Production is scheduled to commence in the fall, allowing Mikalson to bring his distinctive comedic vision to life with the support of the distributor known for launching new directors.
