7 Feb
Summary
- Former Wootton-by-Woodstock Primary School now an art studio.
- School closed last year due to low student numbers.
- Grade II listed buildings are in good condition.

A former village school in Wootton, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire, is being repurposed as art studios. Wootton-by-Woodstock Primary School shut its doors in 2023 because it was significantly under its capacity. The school's Grade II listed buildings are well-maintained and owned by the Parrott & Lee Educational Foundation.
West Oxfordshire District Council has granted approval for the site to be used by two local artists. These artists have resided in the vicinity for many years, and this development offers them dedicated studio space. The decision breathes new life into the historic buildings, ensuring their continued use and preservation.
