Bollywood's Gupt Dancer Revealed: Bhanu Khan's Untold Story

In a recent interview, Bollywood director Rajiv Rai shed light on the identity of the dancer who originally performed the song 'Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela' with actor Bobby Deol in the 1997 film Gupt. Rai revealed that the dancer was Bhanu Khan, an assistant to choreographer Rekha Chinni Prakash.

Rai explained that he had initially signed another actress-dancer for the role, but she was unable to perform the dance well. Rekha Chinni Prakash then suggested using Bhanu Khan, who was one of her main dancers and had extensive experience in Tamil films. Rai agreed, and Bhanu went on to perform the iconic song sequence with Bobby Deol.

Now, over two decades later, the song has resurfaced in the spotlight. Aaryan Khan's new series The Ba***ds Of Bollywood features a climactic scene where Bobby Deol dances to 'Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela', with the original dancer Bhanu Khan digitally inserted into the footage. This has brought renewed attention to Bhanu's long-forgotten contribution to the classic Bollywood song.

Rai expressed his happiness at the song being used in Aaryan Khan's series, stating that he had no issues with Shah Rukh Khan's team using the track. He also praised Shah Rukh as a "polite and respectful gentleman" and said he was glad to offer his support to the actor's family.
