Fontaines D.C. Hits No. 1 With Dopamine Chamber

Fontaines D.C. has achieved their second U.K. No. 1 album with the release of Dopamine Chamber. The Irish band's latest effort sold over 70,000 chart units in its debut week, securing the third-biggest opening week for an album in 2026. This success follows their previous chart-topping album, Skinty Fia, released in 2022.

Dopamine Chamber has been met with critical acclaim, noted for its impressive balance of introspection and darkness, coupled with a stadium-headlining ambition. This reception suggests the album could signal a significant phase in the band's career. Other notable entries on the chart include Olivia Rodrigo's "you seem pretty sad" at No. 2 and Michael Jackson's "The Essential Compilation" at No. 3.
