Fontaines D.C. has released "Tongue," the second single from their upcoming album, Dopamine Centre. This new track continues the sonic exploration initiated in their previous work, "Romance." The song incorporates innovative sound design, featuring a tape-manipulated bassline and a distorted vocal line processed through a sampler.
Guitarist Conor Curley explained that "Tongue" deliberately held back its live-band elements until they were most impactful. The new album, Dopamine Centre, produced by James Ford, is slated for release on October 16. This release follows the announcement of a significant tour, currently without U.S. dates.
Notably, "Dopamine Centre" will include a duet with the artist Rosalía on the song "Where Is Gone." This collaboration marks the first time Fontaines D.C. has featured a guest artist on any of their albums.
