The AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival is gearing up for an energetic weekend in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, scheduled for July 24 and 25 at Peoples Natural Gas Park. This year's festival boasts an eclectic lineup of 19 bands, with Greensky Bluegrass and The Disco Biscuits set to headline. Bryan Hummel, festival co-chairman, expressed confidence in the festival's continued growth, noting its success in attracting a passionate jam and jam-adjacent audience from across 25 states.
Greensky Bluegrass, a prominent jamgrass act, will perform a special two-set show on July 25, marking their return to the festival after a previous appearance in 2012. The Disco Biscuits, celebrating their 30th anniversary, will headline July 24 with their signature trance-fusion sound, promising a unique light show for attendees. The festival will also showcase 17 other acts spanning various genres within the jam scene, ensuring a well-rounded experience from start to finish.
To build excitement, the festival will host a free "Night Zero" pre-festival concert on July 23, featuring Deadtronica, FlowerChild, and Neon Belly. This initiative aims to introduce the festival's vibe to a wider audience. General admission tickets are priced at $75 for July 24 and $85 for July 25, with a two-day pass available for $125 and a VIP pass for $175. Tickets can be purchased online at www.floodcitymusic.com or at the Heritage Discovery Center.
