Actor Michael Trucco, who plays Luke, has officially confirmed his character's return for the upcoming fifth season of Fire Country. Trucco noted that Luke's reappearance will make a significant impact on the family dynamics central to the series, highlighting the balance between episodic crises and the show's core family story.
Trucco acknowledged Luke's history of stirring drama, including a past romantic interest in Sharon, his brother Vince's wife. While Vince has since died on the show, Trucco suggested that a future storyline involving Luke and Sharon is a possibility, though potentially complicated. He also entertained the idea of Luke crossing paths with Sharon's sister, Mickey, given the show's small-town setting.
Reflecting on the show's evolution, Trucco mentioned a change in energy following behind-the-scenes shifts, initially questioning Luke's future. However, he expressed positivity about the current direction and reaffirmed his commitment to the series, stating he is "on board" anytime the show wants him back.
Fire Country airs Fridays on CBS at 9 p.m. ET and streams on Paramount+ the following day.
