Summary
- A horror parody movie called The Final Rose is available on Tubi.
- The film hilariously spoofs reality dating shows like The Bachelor.
- It blends a dating show parody with slasher horror elements.
Fans of reality dating shows now have a free horror parody option on Tubi, "The Final Rose." Released in 2022, this film hilariously skewers the conventions of The Bachelor franchise.
The movie follows Jess Rose, a single mother who seeks love on the fictional show "Love at Last." However, the contestants begin to vanish in disturbing ways, not just through eliminations. The parody is notable for its subtle references to the familiar tropes of shows like The Bachelor, including "evil producers" and contestants seeking screen time.
While the dating show parody elements are strong, the horror aspect and the kills are described as unimpressive for much of the film. Despite some shortcomings, "The Final Rose" is recommended for fans of The Bachelor looking for a unique and darkly humorous viewing experience. The Bachelor franchise itself is slated to return in 2027, after a hiatus.
