London sales agency Film Republic has secured international distribution rights for Isabel Sandoval's new film, 'Moonglow.' This marks a significant step for the US-based Filipino actor, writer, and director, who also stars in the movie.
'Moonglow' recently celebrated its world premiere in the Big Screen Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. The film is described as a noir thriller set in 1970s Manila, centering on a heist orchestrator who becomes entangled in an investigation of a crime she committed.
The production is a collaborative effort, with Daluyong Studios, Nathan Studios, Dasun Pictures, and Yaman Films attached as producers. CAA Media Finance is handling North American representation for the film.
Sandoval's directorial portfolio includes 'Señorita,' 'Aparisyon,' and 'Lingua Franca,' the latter of which was acquired by Ava DuVernay's ARRAY and streamed on Netflix. She also directed an episode of FX Networks' 'Under The Banner Of Heaven.'
