Summary
- Deepak Tijori questions partial muting of abuses in adult-rated films.
- He notes films are unmuted on OTT platforms shortly after theatrical release.
- Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge faced 21 modifications before its release.

Actor-director Deepak Tijori has raised concerns about the inconsistent censorship practices applied to films in India. He specifically questioned the Central Board of Film Certification's (CBFC) decision to partially mute abusive language in theatrical releases, particularly for films already certified for adult audiences.
Tijori pointed out the apparent contradiction where films censored for theaters are later released on OTT platforms with the full, unmuted content. He argued that this practice negates the impact of theatrical censorship, as children might later access the uncensored versions at home.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, which received an 'A' certificate, was subject to 21 modifications by the CBFC. These included toning down extreme violence and altering subtitle details. The Indian version of the film is also shorter than its international release.
Despite these modifications, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has achieved remarkable box office success. Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the film has crossed Rs 1,000 crore globally within its first week of release.
