On October 15, 2025, Fifth Season and Picturestart announced a new multi-year partnership that will expand their existing collaboration. As part of the deal, Picturestart will receive additional shared services from Fifth Season, including business affairs, finance, production, and strategic insight. The two companies also plan to increase their joint film and television co-productions.
Picturestart, founded by former studio executive Erik Feig, will continue to oversee its own development and production slate. Feig, who is Picturestart's largest investor, will serve as Executive Chairman, while senior production executives Jessica Switch, Julia Hammer, and Emily Wissink have all entered into new agreements with the company.
"Extending our partnership brings together the best of both worlds, empowering Picturestart's excellent creative team with our powerful global infrastructure and partner network," said Fifth Season CEO Graham Taylor, who also sits on Picturestart's board. Feig expressed his pride in Picturestart's accomplishments over the past six years and his confidence in the company's future under the leadership of Switch, Hammer, and Wissink.
