Fifth Season has established a new banner named Quite Contrary, which will serve as the dedicated home for all of the company's non-scripted works. This initiative represents a significant multi-year partnership, placing Lisio, formerly the EVP of Non-Scripted Development & Production, at the helm as President. She brings extensive experience, having joined Fifth Season in 2022.
Lisio will be joined by key Fifth Season staffers, including executive producer Elissa Johnson. Together, they will focus on developing and producing a diverse slate of content, encompassing documentary features, docuseries, and reality formats. This strategic move aims to enhance their capacity to create compelling non-scripted programming for broad audiences.
Fifth Season is recognized for its previous non-scripted successes, including the feature documentary Folktales, the CNN miniseries Death Cap: The Mushroom Murders, and Questlove's forthcoming HBO doc on Earth, Wind, & Fire. Lisio's prior experience includes roles at Blumhouse Television and Scott Free, where she contributed to acclaimed projects like The Thing About Pam and Nat Geo's Killing Jesus.
CEO Graham Taylor emphasized that establishing Quite Contrary empowers Lisio and the Fifth Season team to scale their non-scripted storytelling effectively.
