Broadcaster Fearne Cotton, 44, has opened up about the significant pressures of being a working mother, a role compounded by her financial responsibilities following her ex-partner Jesse Wood's reported money woes. The couple announced their separation in December 2024 after a decade of marriage, sharing two children, Rex, 12, and Honey, nine.
Cotton, speaking on her Happy Place podcast, revealed the internal conflict of accepting work opportunities essential for her financial stability while managing parental guilt. She shared that her children, now old enough to understand, have been supportive of her work schedule, which eases some of the stress associated with her career.
This situation comes to light as the extent of Jesse Wood's financial difficulties became apparent. The musician, son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, revealed in court in January that he was living on approximately £1,000 a month and struggling to find work since the breakdown of his 10-year marriage. His most recent tax return indicated a very low annual income.
Wood received a six-month driving ban and fines after being caught speeding in a 20mph zone. Cotton and Wood announced their split on December 16, 2024, with a statement emphasizing their children as their priority.
