Yukti Thareja Joins Shahid Kapoor for Farzi Season 2

Yukti Thareja is set to star as the main female lead in the second season of the popular crime thriller 'Farzi,' joining Shahid Kapoor. Thareja described her character as a "fearless Gen-Z woman who speaks up against the system," highlighting the role's substantial and layered nature.

Filming for Thareja's portions is largely complete, with approximately 20% remaining. The season is anticipated to be released around mid-2027. The series continues to follow Sunny, played by Shahid Kapoor, who becomes involved in the counterfeit currency trade.

Season one concluded with Sunny and his friend Firoz evading capture by Special Task Force officer Michael Vedanayagam (Vijay Sethupathi) and crime boss Mansoor Dalal. Both Sunny and Firoz are expected to return in 'Farzi' Season 2 as they attempt to expand their counterfeiting operations while evading Michael and Mansoor.
