25 Nov, 2025
Summary
- FX orders Far Cry anthology series from Noah Hawley and Rob McElhenney.
- Each season will feature a new setting and cast of characters.
- The series will stream on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.
FX is developing a new limited anthology series inspired by Ubisoft's acclaimed Far Cry video game franchise. The project hails from the creative minds of Noah Hawley, known for Fargo, and Rob McElhenney, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, who is also set to star.
Embracing the game's signature style, each season of the series will operate as a standalone narrative. This approach will allow for a fresh setting and a new ensemble cast with every installment, offering a dynamic viewing experience. Hawley expressed excitement for the project's potential to explore humanity through a chaotic lens.
The series is set to stream on Hulu within the United States, with international distribution handled by Disney+. This collaboration marks another significant venture for FX with both McElhenney and Hawley, building on their previous successful partnerships.
