The two were surprised to rediscover certain details about the show's production, including the replacement of the original actress who played the younger Winslow daughter, Judy.
"Did you remember that Judy was another Judy on the pilot?" Hopkins asked. "I was so thrown. I was like, Who is that?" The original Judy, played by Valerie Jones, was replaced by Jaimee Foxworth starting in the second episode.
The two actresses also noted the show's use of multiple child actors to portray the Winslow children over the course of its 9-season run. "What kind of business are we in?" Hopkins asked, referring to the show's practice of recasting the young roles. "And then a 3-year-old shows up. Now, we haven't aged, but all of a sudden, my son is three years old."
Despite the behind-the-scenes changes, Hopkins and Williams said they simply "made it work whether it works or not" and continued to entertain audiences with the iconic sitcom.
