Summary
- Performers endure 120-pound robot suits with limited visibility.
- Innovative suit modifications eased performer strain.
- Stunt performers require six people to assist if they fall.

The stunt work in Fallout's second season, recognized with an Emmy nomination, involved significant physical challenges for performers operating within 120-pound robot suits. Stunt doubles Jeremy Fitzgerald and Tim Soergel navigated these complex suits, requiring immense effort to execute scenes accurately and safely.
Fitzgerald described the difficulty of moving in suits equipped with blocks on their feet, akin to stilts, while running through debris and landing precise punches without clear visibility. The taxing nature of the work was evident, with one performer sidelined for three days after a fight sequence.
To enhance comfort and performance, the suits were modified in season two. These included an under-suit endoskeleton to bear weight and a cooling system to allow performers to endure longer shooting days and perform better. These adaptations proved crucial for managing the intensity of the demanding 13-hour production schedule.
