The script's creators, Mayank and Carlyle, have an impressive track record, having sold original TV pilots to ABC, CBS, and Syfy, as well as written for Netflix's "The Fame Game." The duo also directed, wrote, and showran the 6-part scripted audio series "America 2.0" for Realm.
The sale of "Fallen Astronaut" marks another major project for producer Glassgold and his production company, 1201 Films, this year. In addition to this sci-fi manuscript, 1201 Films has set up several other high-profile films for 2025, including "Ripped" at 20th Century Studios with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, "After Shock" at Lionsgate with Brandon Sklenar, "Drift" at Paramount/Skydance with Andy Muschietti, "Code Black" at Amazon with Jake Gyllenhaal, and "Fake Wedding" at Amazon with Lily Reinhart.
Glassgold and his team at 1201 Films have been actively assembling this impressive slate of projects, working closely with representatives at Verve Talent Agency. Mayank, Carlyle, and Glassgold are all represented by Verve, with Glassgold also represented by Jeff Frankel.
