A new microdrama platform, Lighthouse Verticals, is set to launch in November, shifting the industry's focus beyond romance to faith-based and family entertainment. The platform will feature original projects from Studio316, founded by former NFL player Tim Tebow’s company, and Snow Story Productions.
Co-founded by filmmaker Brent Ryan Green and industry executives Jesse Liddell, Justin Levy, and Scott Holroyd, Lighthouse Verticals aims to provide "uplifting, values-driven entertainment." Liddell, serving as CEO, stated the audience seeks compromise-free engagement with culture, desiring entertainment with emotion and trustworthy values that has been largely overlooked.
Tim Tebow will executive produce projects for Lighthouse Verticals. His Studio316 is collaborating with Snow Story Productions on more than 30 projects for the platform, with Tebow expressing a belief in the power of stories to positively influence perception and glorify God.
The Lighthouse Verticals app, currently in beta, will offer monetization through shortform storytelling and innovative features like "community hubs" for live discussions. This aims to enable community groups to watch and discuss series together, broadening the accessibility of faith-and-family content.
