Lewis Hamilton Confirms 'F1: The Movie' Sequel Scripting

Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has confirmed that a sequel to the hit movie 'F1: The Movie' is in the early stages of development, with a script currently being written. Hamilton, who was a producer on the original film, revealed that discussions about the script's direction have been ongoing since late last year. He is working with producers Jerry Bruckheimer and director Joseph Kosinski on the new project.

Filming for the original movie, which starred Brad Pitt as a veteran driver and Damson Idris as a rookie, concluded last year. The film achieved significant commercial success, grossing over $630 million worldwide and drawing new fans to the sport. Hamilton stated his enthusiasm for the sequel but stressed that the team will proceed with caution to ensure its quality.

While Hamilton was instrumental in the first film's creation, he indicated a lack of personal desire to appear on camera in the sequel. He prefers to remain involved behind the scenes, finding that role more enjoyable and less demanding than acting.
