Mexican filmmaker Isaac Ezban is developing his sixth and most personal project, a sci-fi road movie titled "Delivery." The film follows Adan, a truck driver who, after decades of service, steals his truck to complete listening to childhood cassettes recorded by his father.
During his reckless journey across the U.S. and Canada, Adan encounters Nokia, a teenager abandoned in a cartel-controlled border town, who also cherishes family cassettes and dreams of crossing borders. Their paths converge, leading them on an unforeseen adventure with profound consequences.
Co-produced by Red Elephant Films and Sin Sentido Films, "Delivery" has secured 40% of its funding through Mexico's Eficine tax incentive. The team is actively seeking co-producers to finance the remainder, with principal photography slated for the second half of 2027.
Ezban describes "Delivery" as a story exploring contrasts: planning vs. spontaneity, routine vs. adventure, solitude vs. socialization, and memory vs. presence. The film uses the Mexico-U.S. border as a backdrop to examine borders created in relationships, all while continuing Ezban's exploration of time's passage, loneliness, and time paradoxes.
