The fifth series of Extraordinary Portraits with Bill Bailey is scheduled to air this spring on BBC One and iPlayer. This season features musician Ricky Wilson as part of Bill Bailey's team of artists. They will be creating portraits of ordinary individuals with extraordinary backstories, aiming to illuminate modern British society.
The individuals selected for this series have faced remarkable challenges and achievements. Their stories include a civil servant who intervened in a terrorist attack, sisters who made medical history, an 80-year-old Iron Man competitor, a survivor of the Post Office scandal, and brothers living with a terminal illness. These deeply moving narratives will be brought to life through art.
