- Update improves and expands ship building based on player feedback
- New expedition guides players to desolate systems with abandoned wrecks

In a move to keep the long-running space game No Man's Sky fresh, developer Hello Games has released the Breach update just over a month after the previous Voyagers update. The Breach update focuses on adding new space wrecks for players to explore and salvage, unlocking new ship building parts in the process.
According to Hello Games chief Sean Murray, the update is a direct response to players spending significant time in the game's workshop designing their dream ships. The Breach update not only expands ship building capabilities but also introduces a new expedition where players must traverse a desolate and abandoned universe to discover what happened to a mysterious wrecked vessel.
The new expedition also guides players to explore rare purple-star solar systems, which feature deeper oceans, incredible terrain, and volatile gas giants - perfect for scavenging new ship components. Murray teases that the expedition will uncover a "spooky story" suitable for the Halloween season.
Despite a tumultuous launch in 2016, No Man's Sky has continued to receive free updates from Hello Games, steadily improving the game and winning back player sentiment. The Breach update is the latest in a long line of content expansions that have transformed the game into a beloved exploration and survival experience.
