An innovative experimental film is poised to redefine cinematic language by integrating poetry, painting, and moving images. This project delves into the intertwined lives and verses of poets Prabal Kumar Basu and Dr. Debanjan Pan, presenting their journeys within a surreal, multilayered visual realm.
The film is structured in two segments, exploring pivotal moments in the poets' lives. Narration and self-recitation combine to foster an immersive, introspective experience, moving beyond traditional linear storytelling. Actor Rayati Bhattacharya lends emotional depth as a symbolic muse.
Filmed across Kolkata and North Bengal, including Darjeeling and Mirik, the locations enhance the film's poetic ambiance. Directed and produced by Indranil Sarkar, his fourth cine-poetry endeavor is currently in post-production, with a release anticipated in September 2026.
