Expectation has appointed Katina Grant as its new Director of Development, Entertainment. Grant, an experienced executive from Mettlemouse Entertainment, will lead the development of new ideas and secure commissions from UK and international buyers. Her expertise spans talent-led shows, reality TV, gameshows, factual entertainment, and unscripted comedy.
Reporting to Creative Director Ben Wicks, Grant will also contribute to company strategy and cultivate relationships with commissioners. She will co-develop formats with Expectation affiliate David Flynn and his company, Plegazoid, which recently won a tender to produce an unscripted series for the BBC and NBCUniversal pact.
Grant previously spent nine years at Hungry Bear Media, where she was instrumental in commissioning shows such as Michael McIntyre's The Wheel and Michael McIntyre's Big Show. Expectation, co-founded by Peter Fincham and Tim Hincks in 2017, is known for productions including Clarkson's Farm, Alan Carr: Castle Man, and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.
