The much-anticipated trailer for 'Evil Dead Burn' has officially dropped, signaling a return to the franchise's iconic horror. Directed by Sebastien Vanicek, this installment is the sixth in the storied 'Evil Dead' series and marks the third standalone film. The logline teases a chilling premise: a woman seeking solace with her in-laws after her husband's death, only for them to transform into terrifying Deadites, turning a family gathering into a hellish ordeal.
The trailer itself presents a series of gruesome scenes, beginning with an undead corpse at the doorstep and escalating to a violent car accident aftermath. Viewers witness disturbing acts like a Deadite consuming candle wax and a visceral encounter with a knife-filled dishwasher. The 'Evil Dead' franchise originated with Sam Raimi's 1981 film, followed by sequels in 1987 and 1992, and later standalone entries in 2013 and 2023.
'Evil Dead Burn' features a cast including Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, and Luciane Buchanan. Bruce Campbell, a key figure from the original film, returns as an executive producer. The franchise shows no signs of slowing down, with a seventh installment, 'Evil Dead Wrath,' already reportedly in development for 2028.
