Mendes, who shares two daughters with Gosling, has consistently maintained a strong boundary regarding her family's privacy. She explained in April 2020 that she would not post pictures of their daily life or children until they are old enough to consent. Mendes herself has a tattoo on her inner left wrist that reads 'de Gosling,' a subtle nod to her partner.
