10 Actors to Watch: European Shooting Stars Revealed

European Film Promotion has unveiled its highly anticipated list of 10 emerging actors for the 2026 European Shooting Stars program. These talented individuals, selected from across the continent, will be formally introduced to the global film industry during the Berlin International Film Festival, scheduled to take place from February 12 to 22.

Now in its 29th year, the Shooting Stars initiative has consistently proven to be a powerful launchpad for up-and-coming European talent. Its esteemed alumni include globally recognized names such as Daniel Craig, Alicia Vikander, Riz Ahmed, and Michaela Coel, underscoring the program's efficacy in identifying and nurturing future cinematic stars.

The class of 2026 features a diverse group of actors, including Kosovan-Albanian actress recognized for her festival wins, Lisbon-raised Cleo Diára noted for her Cannes performance, and Austrian-born Englander with a trans-Atlantic career. Other honorees include Danielle Galligan, known for her Netflix role, Italy's rising star Tecla Insolia, Norwegian talent Sofia Tjelta Sydness set to appear in a Ruben Östlund film, and Berlin-born Enno Trebs, a frequent collaborator with Christian Petzold.
