Euphoria Wedding: Flowers Cost Fortune, Bride Cries

The wedding of Cassie and Nate in HBO's "Euphoria" culminated in a dramatic event, yet the production design aimed for lavish excess from the start. Production designer François Audouy and his team faced Cassie's initial demand for a $50,000 flower budget. This significant cost led to a creative solution: sourcing flowers dyed to match the color palette of shrimp cocktail, requiring extensive floral acquisition across multiple states and climate-controlled filming environments.

Further complicating the production, an ice sculpture of Cassie and Nate was intentionally designed with imperfect proportions. This artistic choice mirrored the show's exploration of absurdities in over-the-top celebrations and status symbols. The wedding exteriors were filmed at the Langham Huntington hotel in Pasadena, while all interior scenes were meticulously crafted on soundstages, reflecting a classical Hollywood aesthetic.
