Storm Reid, known for her role as Gia, has commented on the notable absences of several characters, including her own, during the final season of Euphoria. Reid playfully responded to fan remarks about her character's supposed 'death' and lack of screen time. Her on-screen mother, Nika King, has been more vocal about the extensive delays surrounding season 3.

King expressed significant frustration regarding the prolonged hiatus, citing personal financial difficulties and the uncertainty of the season's release. She humorously noted Zendaya's fashion week activities while she herself struggled with rent. The production of Euphoria's third season has been significantly impacted by creator Sam Levinson's commitments to 'The Idol' and the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that occurred in late 2023.

King also shared her disappointment regarding her reduced role, mentioning that dialogue she believed was cut extensively. She lamented the perceived setback to her career, contrasting it with her expectations post-Euphoria.
