In a major international collaboration, renowned Israeli TV creator Ron Leshem is set to join forces with Brazilian studio Janeiro Studios and leading streaming platform Globoplay to produce the new series "Paranoia." Slated as an 8-episode, 45-minute returning drama, the show will blend the market-friendly tensions of a thriller with a thoughtful, multilayered examination of the unique challenges facing Generation Z.
Leshem, the creator behind the acclaimed original "Euphoria," will travel to Brazil to develop "Paranoia" alongside acclaimed Brazilian writer Claudia Jouvin. Together, they aim to deliver a fresh portrayal of contemporary youth, exploring issues such as deep fakes, AI, loss of privacy, mental health, and financial education. The series will be set against the vibrant backdrop of Rio de Janeiro, offering audiences an unprecedented glimpse into the city.
