The second season of the popular Netflix romance series Nobody Wants This has arrived, but it is not directly inspired by creator Erin Foster's personal love story this time around. According to Foster, the character of Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, "does not have the same trajectory" as her own life.
However, co-showrunner Jenni Konner explains that Foster still contributes "emotional truth" from her real-life experiences to the show's writing. "So she is like Joanne, she has a very clear idea of who she is, what she wants, what she feels," Konner says.
