Erika Jayne has officially denied claims that she conspired with the Secret Service to target fashion designer Chris Psaila, as detailed in court documents obtained recently. Psaila, the owner of the Marco Marco fashion brand, initiated an $18 million lawsuit against the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star in late 2023. He alleges that Jayne provided false information to law enforcement, accusing him of misusing her credit card for approximately $800,000 in fraudulent charges spanning 2015 and 2016.
However, Jayne's legal filing refutes these accusations, stating she did not knowingly provide false information to the Secret Service. Her defense indicates that she only engaged with investigators regarding concerns about specific charges after encountering difficulties in obtaining necessary receipts from Psaila for purchases made on her card. Consequently, Jayne is formally requesting the court to dismiss Psaila's lawsuit entirely, asserting that his claims are without merit.
Psaila's lawsuit cites emotional distress and significant damage to his business and reputation as a result of the alleged ordeal, seeking damages totaling around $18 million. Previously, Jayne's attorney, Evan Borges, emphasized that the decision to charge Psaila with crimes was made by independent federal prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney's Office, dismissing any notion that Jayne held control over government agencies or large corporations.
